Bin Things | Autumn Pt 2

Arggggggg I'm so sore and tired!!! Last night, the school I worked at put on a musical spectacular in which I helped choreographed some of the dances. My feet are sore from running around in heels and my back and shoulders are sore from lifting things. It was such a great night and so proud of all the students! Anyway, on to the post!

I bought a cute little wicker basket to put all my bin things in a couple of months ago and it's already full!!! I've been trying to use up lots of things before I go away and get married and all that jazz but I've bought more things then I've finished lately... Go figure!

Sukin Revitalising Facial Scrub
I've been loving products from this brand lately! A gentle scrub with some fine particles in a cream base. It doesn't irritate my skin and still leaves it feeling nicely exfoliated. I would consider repurchasing.

St Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub
I have been using this brand and product since my high school years. Obviously I have purchased numerous tubes. This scrub has larger particles with a sandy texture compared to the Sukin one. It also has some salicylic acid to help with breakouts. This might be a bit harsh on some people though but I love it and will buy it again in the future!

Napoleon Auto Pilot Complex Skin Renewal System sample
A hydrating, lightweight serum. I find that it leaves the skin a little tacky about a minute after application but once it settles in for a couple of minutes the tackiness disappears. I bought the full size bottle and use it at night.

Burt's Bees Cream Cleanser with clary sage sample
A nice creamy consistency. It felt alright on the skin.

Sk-II Facial Treatment Essence sample
Got this one in last year's DJ's beauty tote. It took a while to use up as I only used it at night. It smells funny. I'm not sure if it did anything for my skin but I guess it was nice to try something that's so expensive for the full size bottle.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash sample
I had to use this up. I used the full size last year and found that after a couple of months my skin dried out too much from it. Luckily, this small size didn't do the same to my skin.

Royal-Lan Lanolin Creme
I got this from my mum many moons ago. I cannot believe I used this on my face at one point!! Hahaha! That was when I didn't have a night cream. To use it all up I slathered it on my body after I showered.

Sukin Moisture Restoring Night Cream
I bought this around this time last year and I've used it every night and finally I finished it!! It was good stuff. Very moisturising and soothing. I would like to try other night creams though.

Sanctuary Spa Therapist's Secret Facial Oil
My first real face oil. I loved it stuff! This also took me ages to finish as I only used a couple of drops each morning and this was a huge bottle! I'm using a facial oil from Sukin now.

Bastist Dry Shampoo in Cherry
I can't remember if I bought this myself or it came in a sample or gift or something... I don't like cherry scents... or flavours.... Despite the cherry smell, it worked well as a dry shampoo. It comes out as a fine white powder. I would spritz it on the roots near the top of my head, wait a little bit and then work it through with my fingers. I will buy a non-cherry and possibly a coloured version suited to my hair.

Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion Fragrance Free
I love Aveeno products! I get itchy and skin from time to time and this really helps calms it down. I'm currently trying to use up a bigger tube of this!

Lush Rose Jam Shower Gel
A goodie from Christmas last year. It smells really nice and I'm not usually a fan of rose scents. It did a good job as a shower gel but the scent didn't really linger for too long afterwards.

Palmolive Milk & Honey Shower Milk
This is a staple at my parents place. I think we/they solely used this for like 8 years lol (in the giant pump bottle). I can't remember why I bought this. Maybe for memories??

Nivea Invisible Roll On Deodorant
I prefer roll on deodorants to aerosols as I cough everywhere with the latter. This was good and smelt nice and didn't stain my clothes. I decided to try something new.. one of those 24hr ones... I think it's a bit too strong! Haha!

Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub
My favourite lip scrub!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Currently using the Bubblegum version. I dislike the scent of it.

Billie Goat Soap Lip Balm
Another goodie from a beauty tote. I couldn't even use it all up as it sucked at moisturising my lips. It felt more like a gloss that slide everything then a balm.

Blistex Lip Conditioner
One of my favourite lip balms that comes in a tub. I use it at night before bed and I wake up to soft, moisturised lips.

W7 Nail Polish in White and Fluorescent Orange
I bought these at Chemist Warehouse to do Halloween nails last year. These have such a strong nail varnish smell that I don't like using them. Now I have a lot of polishes and nothing else gives me a headache than these ones. Plus I got a nice white polish to replace it.

Beauty Essentials Nail Polish Remover in Conditioning
I'm not fussed with nail polish remover brands. This one is a Priceline one and it did the job nicely.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream in Medium
I really like this BB cream. It left a nice texture on my skin and provides a light-medium coverage for those lazy makeup days. The colour match is also pretty good. I have repurchased this.

Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer Pen
A nice concealor and highlighter combo. It doesn't have extreme coverage but it's enough. A very creamy consistency that's easy to blend. I have repurchased this.

Maybelline The Colossal Volum' Cat Eyes waterproof
I had to try this product as it says 'cat' in the name! It has a cool curved brush head with shorter bristles. It was an alright mascara. It held the curl and didn't smudge but the brush made it difficult to use with my lashes and eye shape.

Maybelline City Rescue Total Clean Makeup Remover
This is a duo layer makeup remover where you have to shake the bottle before use. It didn't irritate my eyes and removed my eye makeup as well as waterproof mascara easily. I have repurchased this.

**Lol at all my Maybelline products**

Revlon Age Defying Foundation
A freebie from work (chemist). Way too thick for my skin and didn't match my skin colour.

Wotnot Facial Wipes
I got a sample of this when they had an online promotion. Love the large size of the wipes and they had a good amount of moisture to them. But I found that they didn't remove my makeup as well as I hoped. I returned to my Simple wipes.

Have you tried any of these products??

xx Kat

  1. Shame you're not as keen on the Wotnot wipes - they are my staple (not those, but the original ones). Will need to remember to steer clear of W7 - I realise that nail varnish does smell, but anything too strong is quite off putting.

    1. I knew you love those wipes!! =) I liked how big they were but material wise, they were alright. Yes, W7 polishes really smell!
