Weeks to Wed Pt 5: Accessories

Days to go: 13

How did that spring up?!?!? Everyone has told me that the 6 months will go quickly but let me tell you, it has been the longest wait ever!!! As we begin the countdown, here's a post on some extras I'll be wearing for the big day!

So far:
Part 1: The Proposal
Part 2: The Ring
Part 3: The Venue
Part 4: The Dress

The Shoes
I didn't realise all the questions that would arise after deciding on blue shoes. That happened after browsing Pinterest many months ago and loved the look of it. Some friends loved the idea and some didn't. Most thought it was for the "something blue" thing but I'm not that traditional. I just don't like the look of white shoes. I found these beautiful shoes from Panache Bridal Shoes in the city (Sydney). I am in love with these! The ladies at the store were so helpful and lovely and got me to squeeze into the last pair of this style.

The Hair Piece
As I am wearing a [boring] single layer, super long veil, I wanted something pretty in my hair. After trawling through the internet, I found the site of an Australian company, Percy Handmade. Tania, the owner, hand creates beautiful headpieces, hair clips, veils and garters. I decided on this baby, Genevieve. She did such an amazing job! We corresponded through lots of emails and she was very helpful and patient with me.

The Earrings
Jewellery was a bit harder to decide on. Since I was working so much I didn't have the time to go out and browse the stores so I went with the online option. Fletcher and Grace is another Australian company that specialises in bridal accessories. Their online store has such an array of beautiful pieces that I couldn't decide on one. I ended up with two pairs of earrings and the style below will be worn at the wedding. They shipped very quickly in cute little boxes. The other pair (not pictured) will be worn at the reception back home. Thank you to the ladies who helped with that decision!

The (stand in) Rings
Daniel and I have custom made and ordered our wedding rings however, they won't make it on time for our wedding so we will get them when we come home. The company which we went through is an American custom jewellery designer, Jewelry By Johan. The rings are made from the earth and natural elements such as wood, fossils, and metals. Totally up our alley. We cannot wait to see them! In the meantime, we ordered from them a set of plain titanium rings to be used at the ceremony. The team from Jewelry By Johan were so friendly and helped with all the processes even with the time differences. I'm sure they will do a great job!

What are your key pieces for your wedding?
