Our Special Day

Hello my lovelies! The internet was down yesterday so I couldn't post this but it's all fixed now. We didn't know what to do with ourselves when there was no internet. I can't believe how reliant we are on this technology! I'm ashamed at myself for this! Need to get out more! It has been just over four months since I tied the knot with my high school sweetie and finally I've gotten around to sharing some of my day with you all =)

I was so thrilled on how the day went as it's hard to imagine it while planning on the other side of the world. Everyone in Scotland was extremely friendly and helpful even when I left my bouquet at the celebrant's house and boat driver had to go back to get them after he dropped us off at the castle. Oops! Wedding brain I tell you! 

I left a lot of details up to our vendors such as music chosen by our celebrant (traditional Scottish), cake design by the chef, and my hair and makeup look. I had some sort of idea with what I wanted but at the end of the day I just went with the flow. Maybe I watched too many episodes of Bridezillas??? 

The day was easy going, exciting and fun. There were lots of exploration through the castle and the grounds. This location was actually the first place I put down on my shortlist of castles to get married in but crossed it off after I found out where it actually was! Funny how things work out! It took a flight from London to Aberdeen, then a little plane to Kirkwall and then a charter boat to the castle. What an effort! 

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to everyone who was joined us on this journey. It made our day extra special and I wish I could relive it over and over again!
