The Block's Inji Mist Candle

I told myself that I wouldn't be watching this series of The Block after not being very pleased with the last series. I thought they didn't show a lot of renovating instead the competitors were away doing challenges. But somehow I got hooked with this series and enjoying watching all the competitors. The latest challenge they had to complete was to make their signature candle (scent and vessel) and the winning candle would be sold by Glasshouse Fragrances. I knew I had to get my hands on it!

The episode was very interesting to watch as the teams were split up to make the vessel and create the scent for their candle. The winning candle was created by WA brother-sister duo Luke and Ebony. Luke created a beautiful simple and smooth vessel with blues and white swirled throughout (although this version is not sold) and Ebony created the scent which was inspired by a place called Injudip Point in WA.

The candle is called Inji Mist Seabreeze and Musk which includes top notes of sea salt and ozone (hopefully not the bad kind haha - sorry chemistry thoughts), midnotes of peach and blackcurrant and base notes of oakmoss and musk. This combination of scents is totally different to what I usually get in candles. I love the sweet, floral and citrus scents. This smells a little on the masculine side but still amazing - it's what I like in men's fragrances haha. Maybe Davidoff's Coolwater???

Luke and Ebony's Inji Mist Glasshouse candle is available from David Jones for $42.95 but be quick as it's already sold out online and my local store only had a few left. All profits from the sale of this candle will be donated to Luke and Ebony's chosen charity, Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, and to support their mission to increase five-year survival for brain cancer patients.

What is your go to candle scent? Do you watch The Block?
