Adding Some Extra Hydration with Darphin
Hey there lovelies! I'm still sick and now sounding so croaky. The combination of being sick and the cold weather (with heaters) has really made my skin look dull and a little dry. I've changed up some of my skincare with some higher end products to see if they will make a difference to my skin. One of the products I've been using for the last couple of months is Hydraskin Intensive Skin-Hydrating Serum by Darphin Paris.
Darphin is a Parisian brand, originally a skin spa, who specialises in hi-tech botanical skincare. Last school holidays, I ventured into Mecca looking for some new products. The lady that served me was so helpful and patient as I tried everything that she suggested. I was looking for a product that will add extra hydration to my dehydrated skin without making me feel oily. I ended up choosing Hydroskin serum.
Darphin describes this as a potent water-veil and infusing serum instantly delivers relieving, reviving hydration to all thirsty skin. High-efficiency serum concentrate with extreme hydration complex, incorporating powerful pomegranate penetrates onto the skin to help repair and reinvigorate critical water reserves within surface skin cells.
Hydraskin has a watery consistency and absorbs so quickly into my skin. Sometimes I have to be careful when I pump the product onto my palms that I don't rub them together too much, otherwise it'll absorb into my hands. I use two pumps of the serum after I spray on toner and it will be all absorbed when I have moisturiser on my hands. This is why I like using this over a facial oil, although I would use an oil at night time. Do I find this has helped my skin? I think so. It's hard to tell, only because I'm using a couple of other hydrating products alongside it. At least I don't have flakey skin!!
Hydraskin by Darphin can be purchased from Mecca and it retails for $76 for 30ml here.
Have you ventured into pricier skincare?
