Weekend Face
OMG, yesterday I just came down with a swollen throat and sore ears. Paired together with a whole body muscle soreness from Monday's dance class, I am feeling pretty crabby. Just a few more days until the holidays though. The weekends are fun for experimenting with long lost products purchased a lifetime ago. Here is a simple look I wore on the weekend. It seems like a lot of product for such a subtle look!
As always, I start with priming my eyes and then filling in my eyebrows with Face of Australia Eye Brow Kit. The Maybelline Color Tattoos made a well deserved appearance after a long hibernation. I used Too Cool and Bad to the Bronze. I'm still trying to practise the wing eyeliner using Napoleon Perdis China Doll Gel Eyeliner in Yin and the brush that came with the Maybelline gel liner. Not a bad attempt I reckon! After curling my lashes, I used Maybelline Pumped Up! Colossal waterproof mascara. It's a nice mascara that holds the curl but I don't think it gives that much volume.
To give some life to my face, I primed my skin with Mecca Cosmetica Lit From Within primer. I love this primer as it makes my skin look healthy and glowy. The foundation, I used Illamasqua Skin Base with a buffing brush and added extra coverage with Napoleon Perdis Pro Palette Concealer and Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. Finally, I set everything with Maybelline matte Maker powder. I think Skin Base looks even better after being powdered.
Then I added some colour to finish the look, I used the bronzer and blush shades from the Crush Cosmetics palette to my cheeks, the highlight shade from the Ultimate Contour Palette by Napoleon Perdis and used Kiko lipstick in Mauve Pink 917.
