Mecca Christmas Haul | 2015
I cannot tell you how much I love holiday gift sets. I love getting lots of little things for a good price and it's a good way to try things from brands that I wouldn't normally by full sized. Last week, Mecca Cosmetica released their Christmas products and they didn't disappoint. There were so many things I wanted to get but I ended up getting a handful of things from different brands.
I made my order online a few days after the Christmas releases as I didn't want to miss out on the items that I had my eye on. I did notice that products came in and out of stock each day. Stress! The parcel arrived yesterday and oh my goodness, the box was divine! And gigantic, I could barely fit in on my makeup table! My cats were a fan of this!
Let's take a closer look at the products that I bought!
Smashbox Art.Love.Colour Primer Duo ($14) - I wasn't a fan of the last Smashbox primer I bought many years ago so I wanted to give another one a go. I'm still trying to find a primer to keep the foundation on my T-zone looking good throughout the day. Hopefully these ones are a hit!
Too Faced Melted Kisses And Sweet Cheeks ($53) - These are the cutest little packages from Too Faced! It contains three Melted lipsticks - Nude, Peony & Fig and three matching Love Flush blushes - Love Hangover, Justify my Love & Your Love is King.
If you want minis, these are very mini! I think these are a little bit over priced for the size but I wanted to try these products anyway so I don't mind. At least these can be used up quicker if I like them! The Melted lipsticks are meant to be an all in one lip product - being a stain, have intense colour and a glossy shine. I tried the shade Nude (pic below) and I found the staying power and colour to be quite good but didn't notice too much shine. The blushes are meant to be very pigmented. These little cases are hard to open sometimes!
Soap & Glory Bright And Bubbly ($24) - I love the smell of Soap & Glory products! I've used these products before and they feel so lovely on the skin. This set contains mini versions of The Righteous Butter, Clean On Me shower gel, The Scrub of your Life, Hand Food and a cute pink body polisher. I think this is an awesome value set and great for a Secret Santa idea.
Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer SPF 15 ($26 for 8.95ml) - This was the only product not from the Christmas releases that I picked up. I also wanted to get Urban Decay De-Slick but it was out of stock at the time. This is a much hyped about product that I've wanted to try this year. It's meant to waterproof the foundation as well as smoothing the skin and minimising shine.
Here is me (hello!) wear Too Faced Melted lipstick in Nude and Love Flushed in Love Hangover. Pretty happy with both these products at the moment.
Have you bought anything from the Mecca Christmas sale? I just saw something in stock on the website and I want it!! =(
If I fits, I sits.
