UK Beauty Haul | Superdrug, Boots & More
Hi there beauties! I've done a little bit -or a lot- of shopping in my first month of living in Cambridge. I thought I brought the necessities over with me but of course, there were a couple of things I forgot! Does that happen to you when you pack? Just forget that one thing!?! When I went to buy those missing things, a few more things came home with me too. Keep on reading to see what I've purchased in the last few weeks.
SUPERDRUG
There's a Superdrug store very close to where I live which is not good for my purse but great for beauty emergencies! For my fellow Aussie readers, Superdrug is like our Priceline. Some products that I really needed was a black eyeliner (MUA in Jet Black), eyebrow pencil (MUA in Black/Brown), a non-silicon primer (Max Factor Face Finity) and pencil sharpener (Superdrug own brand). The eye pencil is alright, just black enough and has a bit of firmness to it. I also needed a liquid liner and decided to try L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim (not pictured). It's a felt/foam tip liner and has quite a long tip. Using it laying flat across my eyelid worked well but not the point. I think I will get my HG Maybelline Hyper Sharp again.
I also purchased some other products that I don't really need but wanted to try. Bourjois is cheaper here than in Australia and they had an awesome deal of 2 for £12 so I had to grab that deal! I picked up Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Nude-ist and the famous Healthy Mix Foundation in Light Beige 53. The liquid lipstick has a mousse-like consistency and is very comfortable on the lips. The lips do need to well-prepped before using it as it is light enough to show off any dry patches. I am such a fan of the Healthy Mix Gel Serum foundation (which I already own) but I wanted to try the original formulation as we move into the colder months to give my skin a more dewy finish. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and I love the coverage and the finish! Now I know why it's such a fave amongst a lot of beauty lovers.
I had to add some nail polishes to my zero collection, having left them all back in Australia. Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Gel polishes caught my attention and I picked up Dark Side of the Shroom', Fuchsia Generation and the Top Coat. I'm really liking these polishes so far and I want to try some more shades! Something fun and out of what I would go for is this bright eyeshadow palette by Makeup Revolution in Acid Brights. I don't really know what I'm going to do with this palette yet. The brand is on the more affordable end of the market so there's some hits and misses in the consistency of the shadows. I think a good base would make these shades pop!

Some random 'beauty' items - need something for that lady moustache! The facial hair remover is like a mini Silky Mitt. The eyebrow shapers are like little sticky rectangles. I haven't tried these yet but it'll be an interesting experience! I also bought some shampoo, conditioner and hair oil - which I also forgot to include.
BOOTS & DEBENHAMS
I got the original Tangle Teezer (as well as a regular hairbrush) from another pharmacy chain, Boots. My hair was not use to water here and it got so dry and knotty after I wash it. The Tangle Teezer is a miracle worker by getting the knots out without pulling at the hair. Amazing!
In Debenhams, which is a department store similar to David Jones and Myer, I had a lovely time browsing all the beauty stands. I found a small bottle of my favourite perfume on special, Ralph by Ralph Lauren, which was awesome. I love the fresh citrus scent. I also bought The Balm Lou-Manisers trio as I've always wanted to try the highlighters from this brand. They are as lovely as everyone says! I also needed a keyring for my single house key and this gold and black tote bag style is super cute and just what I needed.

KIKO MILANO
I was so excited when I walked passed a KIKO store as I haven't seen one since I was in Italy two years ago! I picked up two Long Lasting Eyeshadow Sticks, one in 04 Golden Chocolate and 06 Golden Brown. The eyeshadows come in a wind up stick form, and are very creamy, glides on to the skin very easily and once set, the colour doesn't budge. Golden Chocolate has a medium brown base with flecks of golden shimmer and Golden Brown is more of a yellow gold.

AMAZON
I saw this book mentioned in one of Pixiwoo's recent videos and was very intrigued by it. Now that I'm living in the UK, buying off Amazon and getting it delivered was quite easy. I have't bought a makeup book in a long time (and probably/shouldn't buy any more!) so it was refreshing to read up on techniques and theory of makeup. I highly recommend getting a copy of FACE especially if you're beginning to dabble in makeup as it is so full of useful information.
I hope you have enjoyed reading and looking at my hauls! No doubt there will be more to come in the near future! There's so many brands and products now more accessible in the UK compared to back home like the upcoming Christmas Advent Calendars - I don't even know which one to get!!! I hope you are all well! Let me know what products you are currently loving!
