More Miss Lipsticks | Shanghai Suzy

Sometimes it's really hard to just buy one lipstick especially when brands are bringing out new colours and finishes at the same time! I was so excited when I heard Shanghai Suzy were releasing new shades of lipsticks for this autumn/winter season. Thanks to Sarah's post and swatches, I was able to decide on the shades I liked. Read ahead to see what I got! Warning! Lots of photos!
I was so impressed with Shanghai Suzy's 2013 collection (post here) that I knew I needed wanted some new shades. I ordered from the website and decided on the 4 for 3 deal and I also chose shades from the previous collection too. The little packaged arrived with the lipsticks in a cute spotted bag with artificial petals inside as well as a lovely handwritten note from Jo and the girls from the company.

From the AW 14 collection, I picked up Miss Simone Baby Coral and Miss Melissa Hot Pink. I noticed that when I was looking at the new collection that all the shades had a semi-matte finish which was a concern for me at the time (then came the Revlon Matte Crayons!) so I only chose two. Miss Simone is a light to medium peachy shade and it's not too light for my skin tone. It's the only light shade I bought this time and it will get lots of use between dark lip days. Exfoliation and hydration of the lips is a must of lighter matte shades like this. And Miss Melissa, wow! For me, this is a more wearable hot pink shade than others I've seen. It's a bright, bold blue-based (look out alliteration!) pink with some raspberry mixed in. I've been loving this shade! With both of these being matte formulas, I was once again extremely pleased with how nicely they applied and felt on the lips. After my 4 hour shift at the chemist with lots of talking, the colour still looked even and not flakey. I did notice that by that time, the formula did dry a bit and I couldn't rub my lips together (which was a good thing as that prevented patches from occurring).

I had to go back to the first collection and pick up some more shades that I didn't get the first time and they were Miss Georgina Pink Plum and Miss Hannah Blood Red. At the time of writing this post, I think Miss Georgina have sold out as I can't see it on their website anymore *sad face*. This is shade on me is a bold purpley pink and you can definitely see the blue undertones. The nourish formula is amazing and so comfortable on the lips! I love the shine! Miss Hannah is also another nourish formula and is a bold red. Such an amazing red! Amazing colour payoff here and the finish is very comfortable and smooth. The longevity of these ones compared the matte ones are not as long. They do transfer more easily on to food and drink bits so I had to reapply afterwards. I think now I have too many reds in my collection haha!

Here we go with some arm swatchies!
