The Highest of Teas | Patisserie New York Mortdale

Hello lovelies! I'm sorry for the lack of posts lately. I had a crazy last week of term at school and just spent my first day of the school holidays sleeping and eating. Now, back to it! Last week, I went to a high tea to celebrate one of the science staff, Mrs R's first pregnancy. We went to a lovely cafe called Patisserie New York at Mortdale. 

This was the first high tea that I have experienced and I was so excited. Of course, I had to suss out their website (here) beforehand to see what they have to offer. I wish I didn't because everything looked soooooooo decadent!!

I ordered a green tea to go with the upcoming eats as I prefer a savoury (??) drink to wash down the sweets. The platter for the high tea included three tiers with different tastes for each one. The bottom tier was more savoury with quiches and wraps (and some sort of salmon thing). The middle tier had two giant scones cut in half with jam and cream on the side. I shouldn't have eaten this as it made the last plate really difficult to eat! And finally, my favourite tier (of course) showcased many sweets such as chocolate layer cake, cheesecake and red velvet cupcakes. Man, I tried my best to fit everything in. Everything was so good!

I had a lovely time at Patisserie New York Mortdale and I definitely want to go again!

Someone take me back there!
