Spring Cleaning | Empties 2015

I've been dreading looking in my basket where I stash my things to throw out as I knew it will be over flowing! Things rolled off the top as I took the basket out to photograph. Urgh! I cannot wait to get these all in the bin! There's a variety of products from all categories that I've finished so grab a cuppa as this might take a while! Seriously.

Keune Color Brillanz Shampoo and Conditioner

A regular inclusion in my empties posts since the beginning of the year. I have a post somewhere here about them if you're interested. Love this line of products but have since switched to a sulfate free shampoo to stop the blue in my hair from fading as the Keune shampoo makes the colour run a lot.

Repurchase - Yes when I don't have crazy coloured hair!

L'Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray in Normal Strength & Extreme Hold

I have gone through my fair share of hairspray due to dance concerts but I love these for everyday and they don't leave my hair feeling crispy or tacky. The hair has a natural hold and does not look like you've sprayed hairspray on it. It is also easily brushed out.

Repurchase - Yes!

Lux Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash

Yummy scent of vanilla and caramel! I'm not fussy about body washes, they all do the job. This contained shea butter, micro exfoliants and mineral powders. This was also affordable as well at $5.99 form Priceline.

Lush Father Christmas Bath Bomb

I received this last Christmas and finally got around to using it! I used this in the shower as a body scrub by breaking sections off the main bath bomb. Most went everywhere in the shower except for my body but I tried to make it work. I don't have baths (unfortunately) so I couldn't use it for it's intended purpose. This had a faint citrus scent to it which I liked.

Beauty Essentials Conditioning Nail Polish Remover

I'm also not fussed about the type or brand of nail polish remover I use. I do prefer those that claim to be nourishing or conditioning. This did the job nicely and it's acetone free.

MOR Hand Cream in Lychee Flower

This was a cute Christmas gift and my first MOR product. Loved the scent, reminds me of a fruit punch. It wasn't intensely moisturising so it was perfect to use during the day at work.

Essie Good to Go Top Coat

My favourite top coat so far!!! Fast drying. Great shine. Nice brush size. This has turned pink and very thick.

Manicare & Sally Hansen Four Way Buffing Blocks

A staple for my nail routines. I love the multi-use these blocks have. My kitten, Tesla, discovered that he liked them too....

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes

I love these wipes and they're the only ones I buy. They are gentle on my skin and the wipes are moist. I use these to take off my face makeup but not eyes as I use waterproof mascara.

Sanctuary Spa Ultimate Facial Cleansing Oil

I love using cleansing oils to thoroughly remove my makeup before cleansing. This removes my waterproof mascara as well. The oil breaks down the makeup and when water is added, it emulsifies and helps remove the makeup off the skin.

Repurchase - Already have

Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner

A regular in my skincare. I love mist toners as they as super convenient. This is refreshing and smells like natural stuff.

Repurchase - Waiting until I finish a new mist toner to decide

Bioré Warming Blackhead Cleanser

A creamy cleanser with an initial warming sensation. It was really lovely during the cold mornings.

Repurchase - maybe

Garnier Miracle Skin Cream sample

This is meant to make your skin luminous, even and radiant but I'm not sure if I saw that. I do have the full version so I will give it another try. I might have to mix it with my regular moisturiser for that extra hydration.

Lapureté Okuru Triple Effects Eye Cream

I didn't really like this eye cream. I felt that it wasn't that moisturising.

Lioele Beyond the Solution BB Cream

I bought this off eBay many years ago when Asian BB creams started to become all the rage. I've stopped reaching for this as the formula is really thick and the shade too ashy for me.

Repurchase - No

Garnier Moisture Match Mattifying Fresh Cream

This cream had a strange mousse-like consistency and was really lightweight on the skin. It had some mattifying properties but it wasn't long lasting. I've switched to hydrating moisturisers now.

Repurchase - No

The Body Shop Seaweed Clarifying Night Treatment

I love this line of products from The Body Shop. This gel treatment absorbed quickly into the skin and left it feeling refreshed. It didn't help too much with blemishes though.

Repurchase - Not at this stage

Essano Moisture Restorative Night Creme

I felt that this was super moisturising as it contains rosehip oil, jojoba oil and shea butter. It was lovely to use and my skin felt soft in the morning.

Repurchase - Maybe

Darphin Hydraskin Intensive Skin Hydrating Serum

I wrote my thoughts on this here. It was a lovely splurge for that extra hydration but I don't think it was super great. Loving the Antipodes hydrating serum for half the price.

Repurchase - No

Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cream

Oh my god! I love this day cream!  Super creamy and moisturising yet absorbed quickly into the skin and created a nice surface for makeup. 

Repurchase - Yes when I have more money

Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal Volum' Express Mascara Waterproof

Mascara wand was an oval ball shape with traditional bristles. It was okay but the wand was a little difficult to work with for my eye shape.

Repurchase - No

L'Oreal Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara in Tropical Violet

Cute conical wand which would be nice for my lashes but as the formula wasn't waterproof, it didn't hold a curl. I know lots of users love this mascara. I may have seen a waterproof version online though.

Repurchase - Maybe waterproof

Maybelline Express Care Eye & Lip Makeup Remover

I use a separate makeup remover for my waterproof eye makeup. I find bi-phase formulas best suited for me for this job. This one by Maybelline doesn't irritate my eyes and I don't have to work too hard to get waterproof mascara off.

Repurchase - I would buy any brand with a similar formula

Smashbox Anti Shine Anti Brilliance

This was probably my first department store cosmetic purchase and what I disappointment. For years I haven't been able to get this work for me. It does a great job at mattifying the skin. I would only use it mainly in the T-zone area but every time I tried to put liquid foundation over it, the foundation would get stuck and not blend properly on that area as it stays sort of tacky. Crazy cakey mess! I have read online that it has worked for others but I'm not that oily any more so I think I can part with it.

Repurchase - Not sure if it's made any more

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer sample

Feels like a nice hydrating primer that made the skin smooth for foundation. I would probably go for the oil-free version if I had to buy the full size though.

Artiste Professional by Manicare Stippling Brush

This sheds like crazy when used on the face and when washed. I bought this years ago but only started to use it again and released why I stopped. Don't recommend this!
