My First Zoeva Online Purchase | Review & Use

I am so excited to share with your my thoughts on some Zoeva products I purchased through their online store. I picked up a brush set and a blush palette but I was also eyeing off some of their eyeshadow palettes, unfortunately I couldn't decide on one. Keep reading to see what I got!

I remember one of my trips to Sephora Sydney browsing through the Zoeva stand and thinking I wasn't that impressed by the brush sets on show even though I really wanted to try some. A couple of months later, I was swayed by a blog a follow to have a look at Zoeva's website as they had more products on offer and had a good delivery time. I placed the order on Monday 17th April and it arrived 10 days later which I thought was very good considering the weekends and Anzac Day. I was also able to track the delivery.

I sent my hubby to pick up what I thought was my passport from the post office but it was my Zoeva order! So embarrassing for him as the box had the brand name all over it haha. The products came in a sturdy box with bubblewrap inside. Along with the products, there were cards stating the staff names who checked and packed my parcel (thank you Kristina, Katharina and Lizunne) which was a lovely touch and a little booklet in German about the brand.

ZOEVA is a German beauty brand which consists of their famous makeup brushes and eyeshadows as well as some face and lip makeup. I picked up the ROSE GOLDEN COMPLETE SET VOL 1 and the CORAL SPECTRUM BLUSH PALETTE.
112 Face Curve | 129 Luxe Fan
142 Concealer Buffer | 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek
103 Definer Buffer | 109 Luxe Face Paint
106 Powder
The Rose Golden Complete Set Vol 1 consists of 15 beautifully made brushes with rose gold ferrules and matte black handles. Each brush came with a brush cover to keep the shape and protect the bristles and they were housed in a sturdy faux leather pouch.

112 FACE CURVE - I used this brush to try and apply primer. I think you can also use it to apply foundation. I don't really reach for this one as I prefer using my fingers for primer and other brushes for foundation.

129 LUXE FAN* - I'm so excited to add a proper fan brush to my brush collection. This is so delicate and soft. I've been using this brush to dust highlight on my cheekbones.

142 CONCEALER BUFFER - The small dome shape is a great size for buffing under eye concealer and the texture is very soft and suitable for delicate areas.

127 LUXE SHEER CHEEK* - This is a smaller angled blush blush then I am use to. Another super soft brush. I need to remember to always tap off product excess to get a nice application.

103 DEFINER BUFFER - This is my FAVOURITE brush from the set and it has overtaken my favourite brush for foundation, RT Expert Face Brush! It is super dense yet still soft with a little bit of mobility in the bristles. Compared to the Sigma kabuki brushes, I find them too dense and don't blend the product as well. The shape of the definer buffer is great for blending foundation all over the face as well as under the eye and around the nose. Love this!

109 LUXE FACE PAINT* - This is a flat top rectangular shaped brush slim enough for under the cheekbone and nose contouring. I reach for this one when I want a really defined contoured area.

106 POWDER - This is quite a domed brush but can spread out more when powdering over the face. Once again, it is super soft and applies a light layer of powder.

317 Wing Liner | 227 Luxe Soft Definer
226 Smudger | 228 Luxe Crease
310 Spont Liner | 234 Luxe Smokey Shader
322 Brow Line | 230 Luxe Pencil
317 WING LINER - This creates a really nice line with gel liner on the lash line. The sharp angle of the brush helps with creating the crisp wing (although I still need practise on that!).

227 LUXE SOFT DEFINER* - I feel this is very similar to Sigma E25 blending brush. It is wonderful for buffing out crease shadows due to its fluffier design.

226 SMUDGER - I love this for placing eyeshadow on the lower lash area as the brush is small yet wide and offers little movement in the bristles.

228 LUXE CREASE* - This is more of a tapered design compared to the soft definer and I like using this for precise product placement in the crease and outer corner.

310 SPOT LINER* - This is a tiny tiny brush! The bristles are quite stiff. I tried using this with gel liner but it hurt my eyelids. I haven't reached for this since then.

234 LUXE SMOKEY SHADER* - This eyeshadow brush is small enough to fit my eye shape which is a plus! It does the job with packing on product.

322 BROW LINE - A short bristled angled brush which works well with brow pomade and powder.

230 LUXE PENCIL* - A small lone domed pencil brush, not different to other pencil brushes on the market but a great addition in this set.

Swatches L-R: CR010 | CR020 | CR030 | CR040
I decided on the Coral Spectrum Blush palette out of the three available (nude and pink) as I seem to be lacking those shades in my collection. As you can see, the palette consists of four shades in a sleek black package (beware of fingerprints!) that opens like a book. The pans are a great size (4.2 cm) which holds lots of product so you get value for money! The product themselves are very pigmented and smooth with matte and satin finishes. They apply beautifully on the cheeks using a blush brush. I would recommend using a light hand at first and then build up to the desirable colour. Longevity is good, I don't find the shades lose intensity throughout the day but I guess it'll depend on the base as well.

CR010 (matte) - This coral shade leans more warm pink and it is quite bold and bright. This shade is my least reached for from the palette.

CR020 (matte) - This looks quite lollipop pink against my arm tone but it's not quite as scary on the cheeks. This would be lovely in the warmer months.

CR030 (satin) - The sole shade with some glow and golden shimmer incorporated (just enough so it's not like a disco ball). This is my idea of the perfect peach shade for me.

CR040 (matte) - The swatch looks light on my arm but this is my favourite shade from the palette. It reminds me of the subtle colour given by Nyx Angel and Benefit Dandelion. Love it!

Makeup done using the Zoeva brushes and blush
I recommend to everyone to have a look at what Zoeva has to offer. If you have a Sephora near you, have a look first hand at the products otherwise there are many blogs with reviews online to help you with your decisions. I am very happy with this purchase from Zoeva online. I feel the Rose Golden Set is perfect for those who are starting out in makeup as all the brushes are useful (minus the spot liner for me) and needed for a full face makeup application. The brushes are easy to spot and deep clean (I use the Daiso sponge cleaner) and I found the brushes had barely any shedding through use and cleaning. Also, how can you not love the rose gold detail with black handles?!!? The blush palette is beautiful and you can pick between the three available to suit your preference. The quality of the products are amazing and for the price, so affordable!
