Ciate Advent Calendar | Day 1-3

What's better than new polish? 24 new nail polishes!!! I was very lucky to be gifted the Ciate London Advent calendar for Christmas from Miss B. Thank you!! I've been going strong with only two nail polishes since moving to the UK so this is such an awesome way to expand my collection. I've opened the first three days so far, let's check them out!

The advent calendar comes in a lovely sturdy box that opens out like a book and is covered by some iconic London scenes.

Day 1 - Heirloom | Multi-chrome polish with hints of purple, gold and green.

Day 2 - Check Mate | Clear topper with black and white squares.

Day 3 - Pom Pom | Creme coral red.

APPLICATION

Heirloom has a gorgeous multi-chrome finish. Using it on its own, it takes about 3-4 coats to get an opaque finish however, only one or two coats is needed over a base colour. The latter is my favourite way of using the polish as it looks different over a variety of colours (see below index finger is Heirloom only and the middle finger is over a raspberry base colour). This is my favourite shade out of the three.

Check Mate is a nice change from your regular speckled round toppers. At times, it was difficult to get a good amount of the squares too lay on the nails but that is quite common with these types of toppers. 

Pom Pom has a bright, fun finish. It has the same formula as my last creamy Ciate polish, Play Date (see post here). It has a super smooth application and is gives a great finish in 2 coats.
