FotD | Summer/Autumn Work Face

Do you like my new glasses? So nerdy! Anyways, I have a bunch of tag posts waiting to be uploaded but I thought I should break it up with something beauty related. I tried to get out of the nude/brown slump of eye looks so I went with either shimmery pinks or golds. I have worn this look over the last few weeks and I also tried to get back into using eyeliner haha.

As a base, I've enjoyed mixing foundations and bb creams together. My skin colour is at a strange shade so mixing colours is a must. This time I used a bit of Maybelline Dream Pure BB cream (medium) and Garnier Miracle skin Perfecting BB cream (medium). Added some under eye concealer with Rimmel Match Perfection concealor (natural beige) and then dusted some Rimmel Stay Matte powder (translucent) all over my face.

Moving on to the eyes. I primed my eyelids with Milani Eyeshadow Primer and filled in my brows with Australis Brow Kit as I waited for the primer to set. Then I used MaxFactor Wild Shadow Pencil in Untamed Pink all over the mobile part of the lid as a coloured based. I whipped out the trusty super sparkly L'Oreal Infalliable Eyeshadow in Forever Pink. I love the frosty pink it leaves on the lids. I used the 'browbone' shade from Wet n' Wild eyeshadow trio in Knock On Wood which is an almost matte light nudey pink to blend out the edges of Forever Pink, concentrating more on the out edges. I blended the 'crease' shade from the Knock On Wood trio on the outer third of the lid and a little through the crease. I also lined the bottom lash line with the Untamed Pink, then powdered over it with a little Forever Pink and the brown 'crease' shade. I line my upper lash line with Maybelline Master Precise liquid eyeliner in black and smudged some Milani LiquifiEye pencil liner in black under the eyes as well (forgot to add it to the photo). Then lastly, curled the lashes and applied Maybelline The Colossal Cat Eye mascara in waterproof black. I'm not sure how I feel about this one yet. Definitely not as amazing as The Falsies.

On the rest of my face, I bronzed/contoured with NYC bronzer in Sunny which is an oldie but a goodie and used the sample blush Hot Mama! from The Balm. I usually use a lip balm on my lips when I go to work as I have tea as soon as I get there. But for the purpose of this photo, I put on my new addition Velvet Rose by L'Oreal.

My morning makeup routine has become a little longer now that I add the liquid eyeliner to it. I'm still a newbie. So now I eat breakfast when I get to work. Oh the sacrifices!
