March Madness | Haulin'
Hello everyone!!! Last post of the month and I cannot believe we'll be moving into April!! The good and bad thing about working back at Priceline (even if it's only one shift a week), is unknowingly walking by some good sales plus using those quarterly vouchers. This month, I did do some damage and buy things I may not have needed but wanted try nonetheless. Keep reading if you're interested in what I got!
Earlier in the month I walked passed some Toni & Guy products that were reduced to $5. I haven't tried any of their products before so I thought spending $10 on a couple of items wouldn't hurt. I bought the Spritz & Shine Liquid Mousse and the Firm Hold Hairspray from the Glamour range. I've tried the mousse only once and I didn't like it. It left my hair really sticky even after I hair dried it. I'm pretty sure the cats' fur got stuck to my hair when I went to bed. I will try it again the next time I curl my hair. I didn't read the instructions so maybe that's why haha. The hairspray was alright to use but I'm not a huge fan of hairspray anyway. Perhaps it's because I haven't found a really good one yet.
Last week, I spent a good part of the afternoon after school at Hurstville Westfield to kill time before dinner. I went into Kmart and saw a small e.l.f. stand in the cosmetics section and bought an eyelash curler for $3. I used one ages ago and enjoyed it so hopefully it will replace my current Revlon one which I'm not happy with. I also stopped into Target and had a look at their Nyx stand. I was a good girl and didn't buy anything from there. I managed to walk out with a green cardigan and The Wrong Girl by Zoe Foster. I've read the first two chapters in the car after my shopping trip and I'm really keen to get into it but I need to finish my current read which is taking fooooorrrevvvveeeeeer!
And of course, I stopped into Priceline as I had a million some vouchers I wanted to use. I only bought things that I could use my vouchers on so I was quite tame in that sense. The first thing that went into my basket was Essie Good To Go top coat ($4 off with voucher). I always wanted to try this and my Insta-Dry turned on me so what good timing! I've used it once already and I am a fan!!! I've heard mixed reviews on the Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Foundation Stick (I can't remember the voucher offer) but I want to get the concealer or the foundation as I've tried those already. The shade I got was Natural Beige, hopefully it works for me. It's meant to be a gel foundation with an anti-shine core to leave a natural matte finish (I'd just use it on my nose and forehead if it does what it says!)
I know one day, my giant bottles of Matrix shampoo and conditioner will run out soon. When that day comes, I have bought some new hair cleansers to take their place (and less room). I bought the L'Oreal Hair Expertise EverPure Volume Shampoo and Moisture Conditioner. I think the voucher was buy two from the range and get $10 off. Nice.
Lastly from that trip, I bought the Garnier Goodbye Dry Gently Cleansing Milk which is a one step, non-rinse makeup remover/face cleanser. I don't have much dry skin but I didn't like anything else from their new range and didn't need any cleansers or toners. I've used this once and it's not bad although I went through about 3 round pads to take all my makeup off. I would still wash my face with a liquid cleanser afterwards.
The last thing, I promise! During my trip in Priceline Hurstville, I wanted to get the Lanolips offer but they were sold out of some of the products. When I went into the store I worked in, I was happy they were restocked so I snapped up the offer. I bought the Lanolips Golden Ointment and I received the Intense Hand Balm and the Lip Ointment in rose for free! What a steal!!!
I just remembered... did Priceline have a 40% off cosmetics this month? I can't remember but I only bought two things then which one was Models Prefer Mattifying Primer and who knows what the other then was???
Even though all this spending looks like a lot but luckily, with all the vouchers made the total much better. As always, I hear Daniel's voice in my mind going 'you would have saved more if you didn't buy it'. Luckily he's in England so I don't feel that guilty!
And...... I also ordered our custom made wedding bands from America!!!! I am so poor now.
What goodies did you spoil yourself with this moth???
xxx Kat

Working in Priceline would be so good (not gonna lie, possibly my dream job...just kidding lol, dream job while I'm a student yes!), but I think I would get too tempted with sales and staff discount. I was actually pretty good this month/last month and only bought like two things! That voucher for the shampoo and conditioner is so good - they are so expensive but I really want to try them. Darn - wish I had the voucher!

Hahaha yes, working at Priceline while I was a student was very difficult sometimes! Good on you with resisting temptation!!!!
DeleteLove a good haul post! That Essie top coat is amazeballs, but be warned - it gets thick and stringy towards the end! Enjoy it while it lasts, though!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up! My Insta-Dri did the same thing too!
DeleteGreat haul! I really want to try that Essie top coat now! xx
