NotD | Poppies Forever

Hello lovelies!! I hope you are having a good day or night wherever you are! I just finished a night shift at the chemist and now sitting down typing up this nail look I did earlier today. As soon as I saw this design from Robin Moses Nail Art pop up on my Instagram feed, I knew that was going to be my next challenge. I had to go out and buy and some acrylic paint and a thin brush before I could start. I hope you like!

I used two colours for my base and they are Maybelline Color Show in Porcelain Party and Maybelline Mini Colorama in Urban Turquoise. I'm slowly getting use to applying the white polish but it can still be a little streaky. I think once the top coat is applied, it smoothes the colour out.

Robin's design had little black dots on the green nails but I was too lazy to do that. Instead, I whipped out one of my new polishes from L'Oreal called Confetti from their top coat range. It contains smallish and different shaped black and white particles with very tiny shimmer in a clear polish. It's kind of cute.

On the white nails, I tried Robin's style from her video on this look and painted the poppies freehand and a little messy. It's not an exact copy but I'm pretty proud of myself. Both my hands very shaking when I was using my non-dominant hand to paint. I used light and dark green acrylic paint for the leaves and stems and then some crimson for the flowers. Lastly, I added a small dot of Black Swan by L'Oreal in the middle of the flowers.
