Weeks to Wed Pt 2: Oh What a Ring
Hello lovelies! I just realised there's only 16 weeks to go before the big day! What?!!??!? Man, I better get some posts up on this series! I hope you can guess by the title on what this will be about.
So far:
Part 1: The Proposal
After the proposal and me in shock and scaring Daniel by saying 'no... what!?... no.....' I finally said yes! Daniel was very relieved. The ring that he proposed to me with was exactly what I wanted. He knows me too well!
For those who are into their jewellery, the specs of the ring had a 18ct white gold band with a 0.50ct diamond. I was so excited to show the students at school the next day. It was a pity that I couldn't wear it as the size was huge! So I wore it as a necklace until I got it resized. Sometimes, I would catch myself staring into its sparkles.
One of my saddest days came in November sometime. I was on the train to work and decided to take my rings off to put hand cream on. Usually, I would never do that but for some reason I thought differently. A couple of hours into work and I had to put on some clear gloves. That was when I realised I didn't have any of my rings on! I haven't felt so much panic since trying to teach some out of control students the year before. I had a cry at my desk and had to come to terms with me losing my rings, especially the ring that Daniel spent his last pennies on for me. I called Daniel and tried to tell him what had happened. I felt so bad about how I could be so absent minded. Thankfully, he was really understanding which made me feel a little better. I called the train company and filled out the lost property forms for about 2 or 3 weeks but didn't hear back. I hope someone out there is enjoying my beautiful ring *sad face*.
I couldn't stand having a bare finger for long so on Christmas eve last year, I bought myself a replacement ring. Funny enough, I got a similar ring with a 18ct white gold band and a 0.50ct diamond. I feel much better now.
Remember not to take your rings off when putting on hand cream when out and about!

:( I feel your pain, must have been heart breaking. I get paranoid that I'll lose my ring so I never ever take it off, I even go to the gym with it.
