Daiso Japan | First Haul

After hearing rave reviews about the Daiso Puff & Sponge detergent, I made myself a mental note to visit a store to purchase the product (sometime last year). I was planning to go during the school holidays just past but of course I forgot when I did my Sydney city shopping. On Mother's Day, I had to make a quick trip somewhere to buy a present for an upcoming birthday and decided to make a stop at Daiso inWestpoint Shopping Centre in Blacktown (western Sydney).

First up, Westpoint looked so pretty!! It was the first time I have shopped there but I didn't have enough time to have a good look around. I just headed for Daiso and afterwards, Habitania, a homewares and gift shop (which I need to go back one day, such great stuff). If you haven't heard of Daiso, it is a Japanese store where all products cost $2.80. They have the cutest things and there is a lot of variety to chose from. Beware, all packaging is written in Japanese but most have some sort of English translation.

I went in with the intention of buying the Puff & Sponge detergent but of course I came out with $50.40 worth of shopping! Here is what I bought.

Detergent for Puff & Sponge x2
(There's also a 'detergent for women', don't get that for brush cleaning)
Sticky notes
Small lint roller
White Bouquet hand cream

2 pack lint roller refill
Clear pump bottle
Clothes cover
Plastic sealer bags for clothes x2

Microbead neck pillow
Black cat notebook
Prawn crackers x2
(I was hungry ok?)

White decorative pencil holders x2
False lashes
10 pack pocket tissues with cute animals on the front!

It was a quick visit to Daiso as I had to rush back for lunch, even though I ended up being late anyway, oops! So I'm definitely heading back to Westpoint to do some serious shopping!!! Daiso has almost everything you can think of! Cosmetics, party wear, gardening to household items. It's a must see!

There are a total of 18 Daiso Japan stores in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. You can look up a Daiso store near you here.

Have you been to Daiso before?

  1. A Daiso recently opened up more locally to me, so I will definitely be heading there more often! I always have grand ideas of purchasing lots of things but generally when I get in there, I can't seem to find the really good stuff, or I decide I don't need it. I need to spend some proper time snooping in there! LOVE the brush detergent though :)

    1. Oh I hate it when you go shopping and can't find anything to buy. That happened to me recently when I went to Chemist Warehouse for their 50% off cosmetics and walked out with nothing. I guess that was a good thing. Oh I'm really impressed with the brush detergent!

  3. I've heard that the detergent for women is actually really good. Is it just me or is it impossible to leave Daiso without dropping $15? -_-

    1. From my one time experience, I would say 100% to leaving Daiso more than $15 out of pocket lol.
