Some Favourite Things in November 2014

I really should keep a list of things that I've been enjoying during the month so I don't have to think on the spot when I write a blog post.  Here are some of the things I enjoyed using in the month of November!

Illamasqua Translucent Powder
I use this as a setting powder under my eyes and around my face where it doesn't get too oily. It doesn't give any colour to the skin and leaves a satin-y(?)-mattey finish. Just a really good translucent loose powder.

Mineralogie Lux Creme Eye Shadow in Rose Quartz
This was from a giveaway from Sarah's blog over at More Than Adored. I was so thrilled to have won something *little squeal*. I got a blush/bronzer duo which I haven't tried yet and this cool cream shadow stick. I love the shade as I don't have anything like this in my collection and how shiny it is! I have used it on its own but I really enjoy using it with eyeshadows from the Naked 3 palette!

Milani Eyeshadow Primer
I remember losing love for this primer a few months ago thinking it wasn't going a wow job. Then I splurged on one from Too Faced and changed my mind after using that a few times. So now I really enjoy it again! I have no idea how or what happened to change my mind but it really helps my eyeshadow stick and stay on longer! Funny how things work out..

Maybelline Fit Me! Stick Foundation in Natural Beige
I bought this forever ago and finally started to use it. I like the light-medium coverage of this foundation which is a good change from my heavier lot especially with the warming weather last month (except now... freak storms...). I prefer working the product in with my hands as I find it blends easier that way. It leaves a little bit of a powder finish but completely. It does let my oils shine through halfway throughout the day but that's alright. A have some 'get ready with me' photos of me using this foundation which I should post up too!

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette
Ah. What an awesome palette. One of my splurges when I went to Melbourne in October and I'm glad I did it! I love the shades, texture and how blendable the shadows are. The cocoa scent is a bonus. I used this for my eyeshadow look below which was for one of my dance concerts last month. I swatched my most used shades for you.

Some swatchees for you!

And finally, I've rediscovered blotting! I use to blot at some point in my life but got too lazy. Now with the warmer weather rolling in and with some high humidity, I found that blotting helped with some oil control on my face. I blot with Swisspers blotting sheets after moisturiser and again after liquid base before I powder. I haven't found anything primers that help with oil production so this is slightly prolonging the time I get shiny during the day.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my favourites! What have been yours in the last month?
