FotD | Burrito Time
As you're reading this, I'm back at work (sad face). Well kind of. I'm at a program training day and I officially go back to work (high school) tomorrow. Oh goodbye holidays! [Edit: I uploaded this during the training as my schedule didn't work! I better get back to it.]
Trying to eat well this month meant I don't get to eat out as often as I used to. So I got so excited when I got to have dinner out in the town with Daniel and a couple of friends at Beach Burrito Company.

I did a quick-ish makeup look with Laura Mercier Primer and Smooth Flawless Finish Fluide as my base with NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and Maybelline Dream Matte powder on top. For my purple eyes, I went with the usual Milani Eyeshadow Primer and NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil (Purple Velvet). The shadows I used were L'Oreal Infalliable Eyeshadow (Purple Obsession), Sleek i-Divine Ulta Matte V2 (Highness, Noir, Flesh) and a random highlight eyeshadow. I lined my lashline with Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner (Black Amethyst) and applied Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara but I didn't have time to curl my lashes. I filled in my brows with Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil (the original version). I finished of my look with NYX Blush (Angel) on my cheeks and Napoleon Perdis Mattetastic Lipstick (Ava) on my lips.
The Beach Burrito Company (Wollongong) is a casual, fun-filled Mexican affair! This was the first time I've been here. Its three floors are decorated with a rustic beach theme. As it was mid-week, it wasn't overly busy inside. We got a table on the balcony overlooking some other eateries. The menu is impressive with lots of meat choices for each dish. I decided on the beef fajita and Daniel had a pulled beef chimichanga. The food was served very quickly to us after we ordered. Let me tell you, the portion size was huge! Try as I might but I couldn't finish it but it was so delicious and full of flavour. But there was still room for dessert after we settled down. The only option they had were churros with melted chocolate and whipped cream (we choose the churro for 2). I quite like the short version of this fried donut but I was let down by a bland chocolate. It doesn't compare to the melted chocolate at San Churro. I could drink that stuff. That didn't stop us from polishing them off though.
I would love to go back there again and try some other things from their menu and I would recommend this place to my friends. There's also restaurants located closer to Sydney if you want to check it out yourself. Other venues include Fortitude Valley and West End (QLD), Glenelg (SA), Canberra (ACT) and Fitzroy (VIC).
What restaurant chains do you recommend?
