FotD | A Day on the Green(s)
Earlier this week, I joined my hubby with his dad and brother to watch them play golf at the beautiful Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club. It is situated in the rural South Western Sydney suburb of Luddenham. After driving past farms, cows and lots of greenery, we reached the beautifully kept golf range, ready for a good day of golf.
Initially, I wanted to keep my makeup application minimal but I got to a point where I wanted to just keep adding more! Here's my face of the day for golfing!
- La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Melt-In Cream (SPF)
- The Balm Time Balm
- Rimmel Match Perfection foundation (light nude)
- Rimmel Match Perfection concealer (natural beige)
- Maybelline Dream Matte powder (cream)
- Australis Brow Kit
- Crush Cosmetics blush and contour palette
- Maybelline Color Tattoo (Bad to the Bronze)
- Rimmel Glam Eyes Quad (Smokey Brun)
- Milani Liquif'Eye eyeliner (black)
- Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer (watermelon)
The weather was so humid that day but luckily the foundation was light on the skin and didn't slide all over the place. Just an easy bronzey eye and a light dusting of bronzer and blush on the cheeks. Applying lots of sunscreen is a must! Even though it was mainly overcast, the damaging UV rays still penetrate through the clouds.
Just a quick review of Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club. Mind you, this is from an outsider/non-golfer's view. When you approach the golf course, you'll see that it's surrounded by it's own little community within a large rural area. The club house is modern and has rooms for functions and to eat. The courses are beautiful and green that are intricately designed with trees and bunkers. I was so impressed with the golf carts. The electric carts have gps screens at the front that are interactive. It gives you the maps and distances of each course and where the golf cart is located. This is handy as it let's the golfers know how far to hit without having to guess the distance. The cart's GPS system also knows when it is out of bounds and stops the cart from driving further. That is pretty cool. We didn't know that when we drove into an OOB area and we had to reverse all the way back to the allowed area. The carts also had ice buckets! After the boys had finished their game - my dear husband won - we had lunch in the clubhouse. We had the famous 'Swampy burger' which was a delicious beef burger with salad and chips. Even though I wanted to eat well this year, I allowed myself this yummy treat!
I did hit a couple of balls sneakily but they didn't go very far =P
