FotD | Paper Anniversary

A week and a bit ago, I celebrated my first wedding anniversary! I cannot believe how quickly a year has gone. This time last year, I was somewhere in Europe, Topdecking on our honeymoon. We didn't end up going out on our actual anniversary date as we postponed it to the week after. We spent the day in Sydney city. After all the wild, cold weather, it turned out to be a lovely day! Here is the makeup look I wore that day and our day out/haul will be in the next post!

Eyes
As always I do my eyes first as it can get a bit messy. I bought one of the Australis Metallix eyeshadows after reading a few posts on them a while back and I think I'm slowly liking it! It does move a little on my lids but it's usually alright if I set it with some powder. I really need to find a new eyebrow product too! Thanks to Amy from Bottled Beauty for holding a blog sale! I bought these Katy Perry lashes by Eylure. Love how they look on me! They not full but add some length to my short, uncurled lashes.

Face
I have been using this illuminating primer from Mecca Cosmetica everyday this winter (reviewed here)! I love the subtle glow it gives to the skin. I felt bad for not using Double Wear foundation much since I bought it last year (hoarder problems??), so I made a conscious effort to use it this month. The Beauty Blender helps to sheer the foundation a little and blend the concealer. It gives a wonderful finish on the skin.

  • Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation (Fresco)
  • Beauty Blender
  • Napoleon Perdis Pro Concealer Palette

Lips
I apologise for the state of this lipstick! This is what happens to anything thrown in my handbag! I've been loving plum shades this season and slowly adding new products to my collection. Miss Georgina is a nourishing formula from Aussie brand Shanghai Suzy. It is a light plum with some pink thrown in and in photos, the pink really shines through. Unfortunately, this shade is no longer available as it's limited to seasonal production. I have heard that some shades might be making a permanent comeback!

What is your ideal date/anniversary location?

Daily Katness
  • The mid lengths of my hair is slowly turning teal the more I wash it!! It's a strange sight!
  • Moose is on a new weight diet. Poor thing, he thinks he's even more hungry now that we've cut his calories. Last time we weighed him at the vets, he was 6.95kg! He's only 2 years old!
  • My car was in a car park yesterday and I saw a tiny lump of fur next to the wheel. I slowly nudged it with my foot and it didn't move (although I was ready to jump if it bolted haha). I picked this furry thing up and it squeaked a little and I put it down on some grass near me but it didn't really run away. I had (and still don't) no idea what it was and hoping it wasn't sick or anything but I decided to walk to a large garden bush area out of the carpark and put it in there. Hope it's ok! It was soooooooo adorable though! I posted this photo on my Instagram account @ninja_kat
