Winter's Trash | Empties
I'm not liking this cold and rainy Sydney weather! Anyone in the mountains that got snow?!? The images on the news look amazing! The time has come to go through all the finished products and old items before throwing them out! Not too many things this time around.
Keune Care Line Shampoo, Conditioner & Treatment/So Pure Moroccan Argan Oil
I won't go into a heap of detail about these products as I've done a post on them at the end of last year. Basically, it's the brand that my hairdresser uses and since changing my hair colour so many times, I decided to stay with that brand. They are a little more pricier than the brands you get at the supermarket and pharmacies but they really work on my hair so I've been repurchasing them ever since. The argan oil feels really light and absorbs quickly into the hair. I have a couple of other hair oils to use up so I won't be repurchasing this one.
Polished London Dry Shampoo in Bristol Bloom
I quite enjoyed this dry shampoo. It de-oiled my roots and removed the shininess whilst giving the roots a little bit of lift and texture. Dry shampoo is a staple in my hair care as I like to wash my hair every third day. I'm now trying a volumising version of this dry shampoo.
Sukin Cream Cleanser
I love this brand! It's so gentle on my skin. I'm not a fan of cream cleansers in general, so this was alright for me, nothing special.
Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner
Another must-have in my skincare routine. I'm currently using another one up right now. This is refreshing on the skin and the spray application makes the toner dry quick as well as not needing to use make up pads.
Dirty Works Buff Your Stuff Body Scrub
This scrub has a mild grit to it and smells amazing! I think it's coconut but I can't remember. An affordable brand from the supermarket and worked nicely for exfoliating. I'm not too fussing on scrubs and love to try different brands.
Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Wipes
I'm pretty sure you're sick of seeing these appearing in my empties but I always have heaps of backups of these wipes (especially when they're half price!). These gentle wipes removes most of my face makeup, minus the eyes before I do a second cleanse. I've been using these for years!
Swisspers Make-Up Pads & Cotton Balls
I'm probably a brand snob when it comes to makeup pads but I found that these work the best as they are stitched on the outside and don't leave bits of fibre on my face. I want to check out the makeup pads from Daiso as I've heard they're quite good too! As for cotton balls, I just get whatever is available as I only use them for nail polish removing.
Priceline Cotton Tips
I always need cotton tips around. These do the job for makeup and nail polish tidying. I usually get the smaller packs to fit in my little makeup drawer.
I've got a range of finished/old/meh products that are going in the bin. Maybelline The Falsies wp (all versions) is one of my most loved mascaras. When it's opened for about a week, the formula holds my curl and gives the lashes volume. Those that didn't do the job were the Napoleon Perdis Magif-eyes (natural finish) and L'Oreal Voluminous wp mascaras. Revlon Colorstay lipliner and Liquid liner (gold) are long expired. I loved the colour NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer (Sunny) gave my skin. It wasn't too dark or orangey for me. I couldn't get the hang of using Rimmel ScandelEyes Thick & Thin eyeliner. It has a marker type tip and I found it hard to draw a nice line on my lids. Finally, I stopped liking the consistency of the Napoleon Perdis BBB Cream (light/medium). It's a bit too thick, hard to blend and the colour match is off now.
Did you finish any products this season?
