Unicorn Hair Creation

You can believe it has been a year since I dyed my hair with the pretty blue and purple on the ends! Well, it's time for a change and do something new. If you follow me on Intagram, you would have already seen the end result!

My hairdresser, Candace, couldn't believe the blue stayed in for so long and because of that, it was going to be a struggle getting it out. Candace bleached my hair twice and it got to a light minty green colour (as shown in the above photo). It was actually a really pretty colour!
I decided to get a purple to pink gradient as the new colour but we weren't sure if the pink would be strong enough to cover all of the mint without turning a gross colour. They did a couple of strand tests with very pleasing results. I ended up getting purpley-lavender foils with the remainder hair covered in purple to pink colour. During all of the bleaching and colouring processes, Nioplex (similar to Olaplex) was added to help keep the integrity of the hair. Afterwards, my hair did feel softer than if it didn't have the Niophlex included. In saying that, some of my hair is still damaged from all that was done to it but not as much.

After nearly 6 hours in the chair, here is the final look!

Love love love the end result!!! You can see the natural hair colour melts into a reddy purple colour and then into a bright pink and lavender. I hope the colour lasts for a little while but I know reds don't grab as well as blues in my hair so we will see what happens in a couple of months time!

Do you like brightly coloured hair? Would you do it?
