A Little Spending in Melbourne

Hi lovelies! It's 6.30pm and still light outside. Wow! Love this long daylight at this time of year. Anyways, another short post today. Hubby and I went down to Melbourne for the weekend as he had a conference today (I'm back home now but he's still there). I love visiting Melbourne! I did just a little bit of shopping =)

Before I even hopped on the plane in Sydney, I visited Jurlique. What a mistake that was to my bank account. I saw this cute mini starter kit of 4 products but with the help of the sales assistant I ended up with these instead haha.

Jurlique Herbal recovery Mist

I've heard so many good things about the Rosewater Balancing Mist but I didn't really like the rose scent. The assistant steered me towards the Herbal Recovery Mist which felt the same but had a nicer scent and has more ingredients in it. Hopefully it does a good job! This mist is from the Youth Defence range which is aimed for people under 35. The pamphlet says the facial mist is rich in botanical extracts and Vitamin E to help hydrate and restore skin vitality. Even though I get oily skin, I do have areas of dehydrated skin so hopefully this will help.

Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Night Cream

I was trying another eye cream but I could not bare the scent (currently in bin basket). I picked up the Advance Eye Cream which says to brighten and smooth the delicate area around the eyes.

These two purchases qualified me for a gift which includes the Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cream and Rose Hand Cream. Even though I didn't like the rose scent in the mist, I don't mind it in the creams, plus they were 'free' so I can't complain haha. I honestly did not need another hand cream *sighs*

On Saturday, we went to Mecca Maxima in Melbourne Central. Drool alert! I had a wishlist but only walked about with a few things. I swatched all the Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipsticks and Nars Satin Lip Pencils but I couldn't make a decision, mostly because in the back of my mind was saying "you already have a shade like this". Hmmmm.

A girl can never have too many palettes though! Hahaha. I do use eyeshadows more than lip products so that justified the purchase haha. I cannot wait to try out all these beautiful colours!!! And it does have a hint of cocoa scent to it.

I think my Milani Eyeshadow Primer is losing it's magic power.... or something. I'm not sure what is happening but lately it hasn't been doing what I need it to do. This has been on my want list for the longest time. I hope it's worth it!

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Stingray

I need an eyeliner that doesn't smudge on my waterline and tightline. Milani LiquifEye doesn't work for me unfortunately but it's still a nice eyeliner. This is a twist up crayon liner. I hope this works also!

I got back home late last night after a delayed flight and lengthen flight time and then catching a once an hour train to Wollongong. I was sooo tired at work today hahaha. Thanks TigerAir and Sydney Trains -.-'
