What I've Been Loving Lately | September

Wow! It's October!!! Where has the time gone? Now it's the time where we consider what sort of things gave us enjoyment and happiness (haha) during the previous month. I was contemplating whether or not do a favourites post or a what I've been using lately. And based on the title of this post, I've chosen the former. Here we go!

It's taken a while for me to get back into a makeup and skincare routine as my beauty space in the spare room wasn't set up until recently due to the immense amount of rubbish and boxes we had to get rid of (still have a couple of boxes to go). It feels really good and relaxing to get ready in a set up space instead of rummaging about here and there. But's there's not that many products to show you.

Sanctuary Spa Exfoliating Pore Refiner

After using the same face cleanser for a month (when I was overseas) my skin really needed a bit of a freshen up and unclog. The Exfoliating Pore Refiner is a creamy scrub with tiny blue beads and finer white granules that gives a really nice exfoliation. It's not harsh on the skin at all. It has a really nice and light citrus scent which I hadn't noticed until now. I use this every few days after cleansing at night to help deep skin my skin. I'm not sure about the pore refining claims as I don't have large pores. 

Vaseline Healthy Radiance Ultimate 10 Anti-Aging Lotion

I'm finally getting back in to the habit of moisturising my body daily as I noticed it was a bit on the drier side after winter. I've been using this Vaseline Lotion every morning after my shower and I have noticed my skin much smoother and softer. I love how it has a pump for convenience and it has a pleasant floral scent. It claims to have 10 skin benefits but some are just doubled up. All I know it does a nice job at moisturising! This will take me ages to finish!

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream (fragrance free)

This is hand cream has a thick, almost ointment-like consistency. I use a small amount over my nail beds and fingertips where they have been quite dry from too much hand washing. Once rubbed in, my skin feels smoother and no slippery residue is left. It helped my dry cuticles too. I use this many times during the day.

Mary Kay Makeup Finishing Spray

I bought this spray at a dance eisteddfod where a consultant had a stall. I mainly used this when my makeup looked a bit powdery or too matte. After a few spritz, my makeup looks great (too me anyways). 

Napoleon Perdis Pro Palette Concealer

I have used this a lot over the past few months, on myself and on others. I love how I can customise a shade to suit a lot of skin tones. I also use the darker shade to slightly deepen a foundation that is too light for me. I use the yellow shade to brighten, the light beige under my eyes and a mix of that and the darker brown to conceal redness and blemishes. It is so creamy and super blendable!

Maybelline THe Falsies Black Drama Waterproof

After finishing the original a looooong time ago and trialling many other mascaras, I opened a new tube of this last month and it reminded me of how much I love The Falsies. This is one was slightly clumpy on initial use but I think I had too much product on the wand. This mascaras holds my curl which is the best things as I have really straight lashes that grow downwards. It also builds lots of volume at the base of the lashes but it can clump at the tips if I'm not careful. And being waterproof, it hasn't smudged on me.. yet.

Napoleon Perdis Cotton Butter Lip Balm in Sigrid

This jumbo lip balm/pencil has been living in my handbag all of last month (and probably it will stay there). I love this shade! It is medium browny shade. It is so nice on my lips. It feels great! Super moisturising! I also have a review post on this and the other two shades in the range here.
