The Most Amazing Dessert Table Ever

Hello lovelies! Sometimes when I come across a good thing I need to tell everyone about it straightaway! As some of you may know, I had my post wedding celebration in Wollongong a couple of weekends ago with family and friends as we got married overseas. I did most things myself but there was one element I knew I had to get someone else to do for me. And that's the dessert table!

I think dessert tables are becoming increasingly popular for weddings and parties (unknown source =P) because they give guests a variety of goodies to choose from and they look so appealing with the decor. I came across the company Brownie Bliss at a wedding expo in Wollongong earlier this year. I met the lovely Sarah at her stall and tried some samples. Honestly, from the first bite, I was hooked! I had to book her for my reception!

Brownie Bliss does dessert catering and gifts for weddings, birthdays, baby showers, corporate events and special occasions. They specialise in home-made gourmet chocolate brownies, French macarons, bombonieres and dessert tables. I'm pretty sure Sarah mentioned to me that she is based in the south coast of the Illawarra but they cater for many areas around Sydney too.

I contacted Sarah very quickly after I saw her at the expo to make sure I can reserve the date of the reception and get some quotes. I told her the number of people I was expecting and she created a couple of packages for me. The packages included brownies, brownie pops, macarons and lollies as well as decorations, set up and removal, bags for guests and bag to take home leftovers. And as I booked in early I also got a free tiered stand of chocolate coated strawberries! *happy dance* I also got her to make little thank you boxes with brownies in them for the guests too.

Working with Sarah has been such a pleasure. She was very accommodating when the schedule and payments as I was away for a month overseas getting married and waited until I got back to finalised everything. She was also able to cater for guests with dietary requirements such as gluten and dairy free so they didn't miss out. I gave all creative and artistic control over to Sarah because I didn't 

On the actual day of the reception, I rocked up about an hour before it started to set up and found that Sarah and her mum was already there and halfway through setting up their table! I was so amazed at their work. And so was everyone else!!!!

All my guests had nothing but praises about the dessert table and the actual desserts themselves. They tasted as amazing as they looked. The dessert table was opened after we cut the cake and everyone swarmed in! Daniel and I were whisked away for family and group photos and by the time we finished, the desserts were almost gone!! 

When Sarah came back to clean up I mentioned to her how sad I was that I missed out (and Daniel too) on trying all her yummy treats. THEN she said she would send some out to us soon. I cannot believe how wonderful and generous she is! The box arrived today and I had to take some photos of it before we got stuck into the brownies and macarons!

Everything from the desserts, the decor, the flowers, the tags were perfect for occasion. I cannot thank Sarah and the Brownie Bliss team for their amazing work for our reception =)
