NotD | Gilded Flowers

I love scrolling through my Instagram at what the accounts I follow are liking, particularly with nail art. I'm more of a recreate type of person (can't design anything myself XD) but some designs are way out of my ability. I saw this cute design by an Aussie nail artist, Hannah (@thenailtrail) and thought I could do it too! If you like shimmer and flowers, keep on reading!

Hannah's original creation had a matte medium grey as the base with white flowers embedded with a gold microbead. I thought I would go with a shimmery grey using Revlon nail enamel in Rich. I was surprised when I painted my nails that it was actually a gold/green shimmer. I should have realised due to the shade name! Oh well, it's still pretty. It reminds me of this mineral called pyrite, commonly known as fool's gold which has a green tinge to it. Then using a small dotting tool dipped in Wild White I make little flowers on the index and middle fingers. I make one flower at a time and place a little silver microbead in the centre of each. I used a waxy lip pencil to help pick up the beads as they are soooo tiny. I really like how they turned out!
