Time For A New Watch | The Fifth

I just realised I should have put some lippie on or something in this photo! Oh well. I've been wanting a new watch this year but Michael Kors has been out of my price range. When have they been over $300??? A few weeks ago, a picture came up on my Instagram feed with someone with a new watch from a brand I haven't heard of before. They sounded so intriguing that I had to buy one!

The brand is called The Fifth Watches which is a Melbourne brand founded by Alex McBride. He mixes inspiration from Fifth Avenue, New York and Melbourne. Timeless, chic and contemporary. The cool thing with The Fifth Watches is that you can only buy them on their online store. Five limited styles are released on the 5th of every month and available for 5 days only! Crazy! I love this idea! So at three minutes past midnight on the 5th of August, I bought one.

In order to be able to purchase one, you need to add your email address to their VIP mailing list. They will then send you notification of when the sale will occur and as well as a password. I was lucky enough to get a code for free shipping as well although I'm not sure if that happens every month. The watches cost $139 aud and $10 for regular postage.
The watches themselves have a big clock face which is simple in design, dashes for numbers and only the V lettering at the 5 position, with genuine Italian leather bands. I decided on the Rose Gold & Peach watch which is so pretty and light. The design of the watch wasn't something I originally wanted - there were no numbers and no date section like my MK watch but I'm happy to rock this new look! I'm a bit scared that I might ruin the leather though -.-'

I placed the order on the 5th and the package arrived on the 10th. Great timing! It came in a bubble envelope and the watch was securely encased in its box. There were protective plastic covers on the front and back of the watch face. I was glad that the watch fits my tiny wrists as well. There are plenty of holes on the band to cater for many wrist sizes.

What is your favourite watch brand?
