FotD | School Makeup and Hair Wk2 Tm3

We have just finished the second week of term 3 at school here and I am so tired already! I've been wearing this type of look every day this week. Kind of a minimal looking face. It is mostly due to laziness and time constraints. Keep reading to see what I used to create this look!

I'm using my Canon IXUS 105 camera for these pics to see if they're any better than my iPhone as it has trouble focusing. I need a better camera... sigh.

* Makeup *

After cleansing and mega-moisturising my face, I used a pump of Lioele BB Beyond the Solution BB cream and pat and press it all over my face. To conceal under my eyes, around my nose and mouth, I used Revlon Age Defying concealer in light/medium. I leave them to settle into my skin and moved on to eye makeup.

 See the short lashes on the right side?? Attack of the eyelash curler!

I filled in my eyebrows with Australis Eyebrow Kit using an angled brush by EcoTools. I lightly dabbed Maybelline Color Tatto in Tough as Taupe over my eyelids. The Naked palette by Urban Decay got a working this week. I used Sidecar over the base and lower lash line, Darkhorse on the outer corner and Naked/Buck on the crease. I line my upper lash line with Face of Australia Liquid Eyeliner in black. I'm gradually getting better at using liquid liner - quicker I think but still a little wonky. I can't curl my lashes as I'm still waiting for some of them to grow back to normal length after the eyelash curler chopped some off (!!!). I then coat my lashes in Almay Get Up & Grow mascara in waterproof black.

I finish up my face makeup with Elf Translucent Mattifying Powder and Maybelline Fit Me blush in deep coral with a stippling brush by Manicare Artiste.

On my lips today I used Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait (love this colour) but on the other days I would use whatever is in my makeup bag.

* Hair *

It was very windy on Thursday and my hair was flying everywhere at the train station so when I got to school I quickly put it up. Instead of the usual high or low ponytail, I opted for a braid on one side of my head and flowing into a fishtail braid on the other side.

* The Finished Look *

It usually takes about 20 minutes in the mornings to do this look - minus the hair, I just leave it in a ponytail. I try to be done by 6AM!

Zeus just lazying about behind me
