A Night At The Noodle Markets

I love Asian food. Maybe because I'm Asian. That's probably why. =)

Last weekend I forced got Daniel to come with me to the city (Sydney) to experience the Night Noodle Markets for Good Food Month. One of the science teachers from work mentioned that she was going a few weeks ago and before that, I've never heard of this event before. Not very culturally aware am I?

We there pretty early. The sun was still up and there wasn't too many people around. I had to suss out all the stalls first before I handed my money over to fill my tummy. Security had to search everyone's bag for contraband before entering. I had to wait even though I had a tiny tiny bag!

All my favourite restaurants were there such as East Ocean, Mizuya and Din Tai Fung, and so many more I haven't heard of. A few things we ate were satay chicken skewers (different to what we were use to), dumpling platter, mango pancakes and sticky rice balls. Here are some photos (unedited) of the afternoon.

Daniel wasn't a fan of most of these haha!

I love mango pancakes!

Daniel really wanted some Krispy Kreme donuts after his Asian food experience so we followed the directions on his phone to one near the station. Just across the way from the Markets, we walked through an art installation made of mirrored pillars. It was pretty cool.

Trippy!

So we got to the spot where the checkered flag was on the phone and there was no Krispy Kreme store!!! Daniel was very disappointed. I felt bad as I said before we left that it would be funny if the store wasn't there. It was not the time for Krispy Kremes.

We had a lovely time in the city, even though it was a quick visit. Hopefully I'll remember to go next year!
