NotD | Catching Fire

Who is excited for the second Hunger Games movie??? I cannot wait for next month! Anyway, I didn't do this nail design for the movie release, it was more of a failed attempt of freehand marbling with some new nail tools I got in the mail. This is what happened.

I was a bit heavy-handed swirling the brush through the polishes and ended up digging into the base colour and then having to restart the whole nail. This was really hard to do!!

I used Sephora by OPI in Under My Trench Coat as the base colour. The marbling was created by mixing Rimmel Coralicious and Sunny Days on the top of the nail with a thin nail brush. I painted some extra lines with the coral colour and added some sparkles with Essie Silver Bullions. 

I originally intended this to be a spring inspired colour scheme but turned out a bit Autumn oops! I definitely need to practise this technique more. I like how this is more random compared to the water marble technique.

• Daniel and I went golfing yesterday. I would say Daniel did most of the golfing.
• We also went to the Illawarra Fly which is a platform walk amongst the treetops.
• Zeus is once again stretched out in front of me.
• What to do today??? I have today and tomorrow to chill before I go back to work!!
