NotD | Trying the Marble Again....
Hi everyone!!! I've been so busy these afternoons, no time for photos!!! Here's a very quick post with what's on my nails at the moment. This was inspired by a video from Robin Moses Nail Art (on YouTube). I love her designs, she is sooooo talented!! I'm still trying to figure out how to do the non-water marbling technique but I'm not getting the results! Here is what happened.
I went with a girly spring colour palette - baby pink, white and teal. I also tried a new base coat, Sally Hansen Double Duty Base and Top Coat as my staple Revlon ColorStay Base Coat got too gloopy. For the base colour I used two coats of L'Oreal Marie Antionette 202 and let that dry. I painted the tips of my ring finger and thumb with Rimmel Sky High 825 for some contrast.
How cute is this pink? Sky High comes off more green on the nails.
New base coat to try.

I tried to copy Robin's method of freehand marbling by applying a clear polish over the nails then placing blobs of white polish or paint and running a brush through the dots to create the look. I tried it with Essence Gel Look top coat and watered down white acrylic paint.
It didn't work for me. [sad face]
I also tried painting with watery paint straight onto the nail without the clear polish (see left middle finger). I like how that turned out but I only did it on that finger. So the result looks like someone made a mess on my nails with white out... haha. Something different, I guess. And of course, I finished with Sally Hansen's Insta-Dry.

- I hope everyone is staying safe in NSW - we're experiencing some crazy bush fires everywhere. One was in the same suburb as my parents' place today, luckily it's under control.
- About to go out for dinner an hour away - good to see some friends!
- Did pilates last night. Quite different to my previous experiences. More stretching this time. I could not keep the ball on my stomach!
