A Week of Colourful Lips

I have now accumulated a few some more lip products over the past few years and most of the time I don't find myself reaching for them. I always apply my lip balms but when it comes to colour or gloss, it skips my mind. This week, I made myself wear a bold or bright colour on my lips every day to work - no pinks or nudes!! Sometimes it made me talk funny as I tried not to get the colour on my teeth haha! Keep reading to see what I used this week! =)

I realised during the week that I didn't have a lot of plummy shades in my collection so I had to opt for more reds.

Monday Revlon Lip Butter in Sugar Plum 085

It's been a while since I whipped out my lip butters. I've forgotten how soft and mositurising they felt on the lips. This gave a nice sheer plum colour as I didn't want it to be too 'wintery'. 

Tuesday Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate in 11 and Rimmel Vinyl Gloss in No Regrets

I wanted something a little darker which this lipstick definitely gave. Applied directly from the bullet, it's a pigmented red with some plum. I dabbed the product onto my lips with my finger giving it a deep stain and then applied this fushia shimmer lipgloss on top of it for an extra oomph. The closeup made the colour lighter than normal.

A recent addition to my collection, this a glossy bright red colour which left a bit of a stain once worn off. It's a little tacky which helps with its staying power. Not looking forward to sharpening this!

Thursday and Friday Revlon Lip Butter in Cherry Tart

By the end of the week, I couldn't decide on a new colour so I wore the same one for two days. Another red! This is perfect for those who want to rock a red lip without the maintenance. 

Saturday Shanghai Suzy in Miss Sally Watermelon

I love this matte lippie (blog post here about it). It's bright but not too bright. It was so grey and rainy yesterday that I needed a little something to lift the spirits.

This was a really fun switch in my makeup routine which got me to use some unloved lip products. I love doing a bright or light smokey eye so it hard for me to keep it simple in that department.
