FotD | Lunch with L

Good morning everyone! SoI started off this year with a little sleep in then I went to The Scarborough Hotel for lunch with my bestie, L (post here). It was great to catch up with her that wasn't during work time. Here's the makeup look I decided to go with on that lovely day.

I really enjoy mixing foundations to get a different finish on the skin. This time, I mixed Rimmel foundations Match Perfection (102) and Stay Matte (201). These little tubes are testers which I got from friend who works at another chemist. Darkness and spots were tried to be covered up with my trusty combo of Maybelline Dream Lumi (nude) and Revlon Age Defying (light/medium) concealers. Then finish off with Rimmel Stay Matte powder (translucent).

Made it to the eye section! I primed my eyes with Milani Eyeshadow primer (nude) and then filled in my eyebrows with Australis Eyebrow kit as I waited for the primer to dry. Then I used Revlon Illuminance Creme Eyeshadow (Electric Pop) on my lid with the white shade on the inner third and the lime green on the rest. On top of the white and green creme shadows, I used Devilish Danielle and Makeout Mary respectively, both from the Shady Lady vol 2 palette by The Balm. I was really impressed on how the creme eyeshadow made the green powder shadow pop! I blended out the edges with Tease from the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette before adding Fern from Sleek's Ultra Matts V2 on the other corner for some definition. I also added some of the green eyeshadows on the bottom lash line. I lined the lashes with Milani Liquif-eye and Maybelline Master Precise liner and then after curling my lashes, I used ol' faithful, Maybelline The Falsies mascara (waterproof black).

To finish off the face makeup, I added Maybelline Fit Me! bronzer (golden tan) around the face and a L'Oreal Glam Rose blush duo (rosewood + rose) on the cheeks. The bronzer isn't very pigmented (or very good) but it's alright for a quick application without being scared you've 'overbronzed'. Same with the whole Fit Me! blush powders I reckon.
And finally, for the lips I used Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick (Guest List) with Max Factor Giant Pen Stick (Pink Blossom) on top of it. Oops, I forgot to take a photo of these two.

The transformation (haha):

1. Freshly moisturised
2. Foundation, concealer and powder on
3. Eyes, blush, bronzer and lips done

The photo quality isn't great but the green was more intense and blended in real life. Somehow these photos made it look like I slapped on some green eyeshadow and left it haha.

xxx Kat
