NotD | Girly Glitter
I painted my nails with an Essie polish last week and even though I like their polishes, I'm beginning to find plain nails really boring! Oh no! So when I repainted my nails, I had to add a little something to them. I used an oldie and a newie for this easy and girly design.
I had to cut my nails shorter than normal as some of my ends were splitting badly. Gross right? Might need to find another base coat.
Anyways, back to the polish. The base colour is two coats of Rimmel 60 Seconds in Portobello Pink. A micro review of this product here. I love the formula of this polish. It's so easy to apply and doesn't leave any streaks if coated evenly. This is a girly cool pink with tiny silver micro-glitter which isn't noticeable on the nail but gives a little shimmer. I love the brush of this polish too. It's wide enough to coat the nail in two strokes and it has a curved tip which hugs the cuticles nicely.
The Rimmel Space Dust in Aurora is the second textured, glitter polish I own (after FoA Carnivale in Ferris Wheel). I used this to make a diagonal tip on the nails. This is polish is full of small champagne coloured glitter with some slightly larger glitters throughout. This is a very opaque glitter polish and two coats will give a nice finish. The texture is fine so I don't notice it as much as the Carnivale one. The brush is also wide but the tip comes to more of a pointier end.
It has been 3 days and no chipping so far =)
I hope you like them!
What do you have on your nails right now?
