Upsizing
When the family gets big, it's time for a new home. I knew this day would come but not this soon! Time has come that I have to move my nail polishes into a new home as they have outgrown their current three storey complex. I don't know how I managed to accumulate this amount of nail polishes. Let me see, Priceline sales and working in a pharmacy will do that to you! (This collection has been 6 years in the making by the way).
A few months ago, my entire nail polish collection were housed comfortably in this three drawer container from Bunnings Warehouse (above). Then Essie and other new collections came along and they had to be stored on my bookcase. I started working back at the chemist and got myself a handful of discontinued nail polishes and that's when I realised I had to get a bigger storage container for everything.
I found this colourful 5 drawer container from The Reject Shop for $7. Figuring out how to categorise the polishes proved a bit difficult. I mainly went with colour groupings as you'll see in the photos below but as I got nearer to the last few, I just placed them anywhere they would fit. Even though there's more drawers, the height and width of each drawer is smaller than the original one. That means less bottles could fit nicely in there such as the OPI ones.

The photos above were taken before I realised there were still polishes that haven't been added so they just went in any drawer that could fit them. I'll be on the hunt for a slightly larger one in the near future but right now this will have to do. Also, my Essie polishes are displayed on the bookshelf because they're so pretty.
...But I don't have a problem =P

I use a bedside table with 3 drawers to store mine. I'm making a post about how I store it soon. The table was second hand too (okay its not second hand i've had it since i was 5 years old so as you can imagine a real kiddy table)

DeleteI need to figure out a way to store my nail polish - my nail polishes are everywhere at the moment. It's so scattered and disorganised and they really take up precious desk and drawer space! The set up that you have right now looks very organised and space-saving though :) I was thinking of buying some IKEA storage unit but when I saw it in person, it was very underwhelming.
ReplyDeleteI liked mine before it got too full. I like to have room to rummage through the drawers but now if I try to do that all the bottles go out of place and then I can't close the drawer properly haha. Too many polishes I think. I love plastic drawers. Have them for everything. I hope you can find something to suit you!
