My Everyday Brushes | Eyes

Hello wonderful people! A couple of months ago, I shared with you my favourite face brushes (post here). I am finally getting my favourite eye brushes out to you guys! Similar to my face brushes, I have heaps of eye brushes but I have a certain few that I use all the time and keep on my makeup desk.

Sigma E44 | No-name eyeshadow brush

I use one of two eyeshadow brushes to pack on eyeshadows over the lid. The Sigma E44 Eye Shading brush from the Mrs Bunny Travel Collection is soft yet dense which is great for the majority of my eyeshadow applications. It fits my eyelid shape perfectly. When I want an extra soft brush for particular eyeshadow which I used this no name eyeshadow brush I got from eBay (it has 214 stamped on the handle). Both of these brushes taper slightly to a round tip.

Sigma E25 | Sigma E40 | Models Prefer MPP120 | Gloss blending brush

I have a few blending brushes to choose from when I want to blend out shadows along the lid or crease. My favourite one is the Sigma E25 Blending brush in the mini size (I got this as a gift with purchase). I use this to blend out my outer V shades as well as my crease shades. This brush is so soft and small enough for my tiny lids. Another brush I like to use for my crease is the Models Prefer Professional MPP120 Crease brush. It's a bit slimmer and longer than the E25 so it does a lighter job at blending. The Gloss Professional eyeshadow blending brush (possibly the first blending brush I bought and a rediscovered brush) is great for placing shadow in the outer corner of the eyelid and blending it out. It's stubbier and denser than the previous two brushes I mentioned. I also like to use it on the outer lower lash line. Finally, something I don't reach for that often but keep in my jar is the Sigma E40 Tapered Blending brush. It's nice for a light application of shadow, say a nude matte look but the brush head is a bit too big for my eye shape. Sometimes I like to use it to dust on powder under the eyes. You cannot have too many blending brushes!!

EcoTools angled liner | Sigma E63

The EcoTools Angled Liner brush is used to apply gel liner but not very often. It's more likely being used to smooth out eyeliner pencil such as Milani Liquif-eye. Instead of lining the whole lash line with the pencil, I dot it across and then use the brush to fill in the spaces. I find that the pencil line is much sharper than if I drew it on. I also use it to line the lash line with powder eyeshadow such as Urban Decay Blackout or the Australis Wet/Dry eyeshadows. I use the Sigma E63 Small Angle brush (also from the Mrs Bunny Travel kit) to apply eyebrow powder. It does the job quite nicely. It has dense and stiff bristles and the end has an edge to it.

What do you use for your everyday eyes?
