A Weekend of Celebrations | Kitchen Tea Bridal Shower

For those living in Sydney and surrounds, how lovely was the weather last weekend? It definitely did not feel like the middle of winter. I had a jam-packed weekend full of dancing and celebrations.

A beautiful morning!

The final round of Dance Blitz eisteddfod had an amazing array of young talent. On Saturday we had the Solo Championships and then the younger troupes. On the Sunday we had the older troupes. I was very impressed by the variety of ideas and concepts that were displayed on stage. I was also very proud of our girls performing their group routines, they looked great up there!

Also on the Sunday, I attended one of my friend's kitchen tea for a pre-wedding catch up. I decided to do a side updo with a side of braid and twists. Very happy with the result as I did it myself =)

Most of her family, in-laws and friends were there to celebrate with her. Her mum and aunties slaved away in their kitchen making homemade finger food. It was incredibly delish! I went there not knowing what a kitchen tea party was. I honestly thought it was where we gathered to eat food (I guess that did happened), maybe I confused that with a high tea?? Anyway, I found out afterwards that it's a gathering of gifts for the home?? Someone helped me out here. I should have known after seeing all the other gifts of mainly containers, mixers and all that good stuff!

Being so clueless, I ended up getting the bride to be a bunch of nice skin care products by Philosophy as well as some other samples that I was able to accumulate from the lovely ladies at the David Jones beauty section. So hopefully she'll enjoy those!

How was your weekend?
