FotD | Dance Blitz Eisteddfod Weekend II
I hope everyone had or is having a lovely weekend! I spent my day helping out at a local dance eisteddfod again. I mostly pencilled for the adjudicator, but I also served in the canteen, worked at the front door and learnt how to use the sound desk. A busy busy day! This is the look I had for the day. Once again, natural and no fuss. I was planning on doing a post on the pharmacy event look but I didn't like any of the pictures I took.
Ignore the fishermen in the background hehe
Face Products
After cleansing and moisturising, I used Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation in Beige Ivory. I would normally save this for special occasions but I read somewhere that it performs well during the winter months due its luminous finish, so I've been using it a few times this seasons. I find that the best way to apply this foundation on my skin type (mostly oily) is to use a damp makeup sponge (I used one of those wedges). For concealing redness and under the eyes (so puffy) I used Revlon Age Defying concealer in light/medium. It has a nice consistency to even the skin tone and it's ok in the under eye area. For the cheeks, I rubbed ELF All Over Cover Stick in Pink Lemonade on the back of my hand and placed it on my cheeks using a stippling brush. It goes on as a nice soft pink with small shimmer particles. Then I dusted ELF Translucent Mattifying powder all over my face to set everything. I dabbed a bit more of the blush cover on my cheeks to give back the glow.
Eye Products
I've finished my UDPP so am in desperate need of a good primer!! I used Urban Decay Naked palette for my eyeshadows in this look. All over the lid I used Sidecar, Naked blended in the crease and Naked in the outer corner. I used Toasted on the bottom lashes and Sin on the inner corners. To line my lash line, I whipped out a forgotten favourite Maybelline Eyestudio gel eyeliner and did a thin line a tiny wing. Using what was left over on the angled brush I swept it lightly on the outer lower lashes. On the waterline, I used Rimmel ScandelEyes eyeliner in Nude to brighten up the tired eyes. Lastly, I coated my lashes with Maybelline The Falsies mascara in Black waterproof.
I'm sorry about the quality of the photo above. I don't know how to get a good pic of neutral eyeshadows. Oh well, at least my liner looks the goods! I forgot to mentioned that my filled in my brows with Australis Brow Kit and set it with a clear (not any more) mascara from Ulta3. I need a brow wax desperately.
Oh! And I'm also using the Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte by Kate in 103, the one I got in the mail. It feels so amazing! It doesn't drag across my lips when I apply it and it has a moist feeling on the lips even though it's meant to be a matte finish.
The final look
For my hair, I washed it and just put it up in a bun, securing it with two spin pins (see them here). I love these things! Normally I'll need about 20 bobby pins to put my thick hair up in a bun but with only two spin pins (or pin twirls) my bun stays up with no problems!!

What did you get up to on the weekend?
