NotD | Rimmel Salon Pro with Lycra in Jazz Funk

Priceline is currently having a 20% off sale for Rimmel products. I've been wanting to try their new Salon Pro Lycra by Kate range as I've heard some good reviews on them. I only bought one which is unheard of. Normally I would leave with at least two polishes! There were about 10 shades to choose from at my local Priceline, ranging from the red red to greys and dark. After pondering a while, I went for the safe option and picked up Jazz Funk.

When it comes to nail polish, I am drawn to the pinks. I am pretty sure I have a similar colour to this from the another Rimmel line. I painted nails with this on the week and I am loving everything about it! It is the right shade of pink, not too neon but not too baby. Just a nice, bright pink. I did two thin coats, as usual, and I was very pleased that it dried quickly. It helped that the brush is a nice size. I think it's similar or the same as the regular Salon Pro range (but not sure). What I cannot get enough is the finish of the polish on the nails. It is sooooo glossy and with the addition of a top coat, it is extra glossy! The dried polish feels strange to me. I can't describe it very well but it doesn't feel like your regular dried polish. It's a little soft to the touch (??? no, that sounds stupid). I think it's the silicone and Lyrca in the formula that's creating the finish. And I love it! I haven't experienced any chipping after three days. I don't normally keep my polishes on for more than 5 days so I won't know if it'll live up to the claim. But love, love, love!!!
