A Belgenny Wedding | Elegant & Rustic
As the lovely couple are relaxing in tropical Hawaii, I shall share with you my experience of the first white wedding I have ever attended. I know my way around an Asian reception or at least my tummy does but I wasn't sure what to expect from my non-Asian friends haha. I actually haven't been to any type of wedding ceremony either. Please enjoy my somewhat trying-to-be artistic photos for E & A's beautiful day.
The Ceremony
The wedding happened last Sunday at St Paul's Catholic Church in the quiet town of Camden. It was a cool, still and overcast day, which was good as the day before was quite warm. The wedding party arrived in a bright yellow bus which Daniel guessed. It was an awesome little party bus. The groom and his men looked very handsome in their suits. The flower girl and page boys were so adorable wearing little cowboy boots. The bridesmaids wore a lovely lilac short Grecian style dress embellished with jewels on the shoulder. I'll show you the bride later =).
The Reception
I was soooooo hungry by this time! We arrived at Belgenny Farm later on in the afternoon. The clouds thinned out, revealing the warm sun. As the bridal party had their professional photos done, Daniel and I roamed about the property. The last time I was at Belgenny Farm I was in primary school. I still have a photo of me in a raincoat milking a cow. Anyways, there were no cows but there were some chickens, turkeys and peacocks. The property is on a large area of land with vineyards and historic buildings.
Inside the reception hall, we were welcomed with a white, black and purple colour theme. There were lots of drapery and florals. Very romantic yet the rustic features of the hall still shown through. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

The important table
Bridal table floral arrangement
I almost died when I saw this wedding cake!!!! LOVE!!! Those animals are adorable!!!
Such an elegant centrepiece on our table
I'm stealing this idea!
I love edible bombonieres. This was made by the same lady who made the wedding cake. She is sooooo talented (Jane's Cake Cottage)
And stealing this lolly table idea! Yum!
We had a three course dinner served to us by the lovely table staff. I had a creamy ravioli, crispy chicken with vegies and a berry crumble. All was so delicious but I didn't get to finish my chicken dish as the entertainment of the night were performing. I was mesmerised by a very talented group of Polynesian dancers that I forgot about my dinner and it went cold oops! Of course when I wanted the cake, I had to wait for the speeches and toastings. The parents and siblings of the bride and groom spoke with humour and love. It was so special!
Outfits of the Day
My outfit - This dress was extremely last minute, like I bought it the day before! I wanted to go with a top and skirt but couldn't find anything to match my top. This dress I bought from Portmans (loving all their spring collections right now) after trying on 6 dresses. This was after going into 10 other clothes shops! The store didn't have my size for this dress and I was semi-freaking out. I asked the store worker if she could ring the store in Wollongong. To my amazement, that store had one left and in the size I needed!! We zoomed from Shellharbour to Wollongong! I paired the dress with teal square studs from Temt, some really old nude-pink peeptoe heels and Michael Kors clutch. I curled my hair with a GHD and put it up in a high ponytail.
Daniel's outfit - all from yd. Such an easy shop for him!
Now the picture everyone is waiting for..... The Bride
Sorry about the blurriness. Not sure if the bride wanted a clear photo posted for all the world to see before she shows us her own professional photos online. She has the same taste in wedding dresses as I do! I love the bodice, it had a slight sweetheart neckline with little sparkles and had a criss-cross effect with chiffon across the middle. I love bottom of the dress, I think you would describe it as a floaty empire line with small train. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
Thank you for reading!
