BPLD | The Pinkest of Lips

During my morning Instagram checking routine whilst doing my makeup, I got a remember that today is Bright Pink Lipstick Day organised by the Australian charity, Pink Hope. Bright pink shades aren't regularly seen on my lips so I took this opportunity to do something different and for a good cause!

From their website... "Pink Hope is Australia’s only charity designed to inspire women to be proactive and vigilant with their breast and ovarian health, while providing a safe haven for high risk women to connect."

Revlon also created a limited edition shade called Pink Hope in conjunction with this day. It is available from Target, Priceline and selected pharmacies. I swatched the shade last week and it's a lovely bright, cool pink. A very bold colour. 

Today, I went with Covergirl LipPerfection lipstick in Darling (395) and L'Oreal Color Riche lipstick in Pink Fever (285) which I think is discontinued. Darling is a dusty mauve pink with a creme finish. After putting on the CG lippie, I felt it wasn't bright enough, too everyday. But it is sooooo smooth and creamy, I don't know why I don't wear this more often or get other shades. Oh I know, it's because I have too many lip products! -.-' After another look around, I found the shade I needed. Pink Fever (great name eh?) is a bright, cool pink. Also a creme finish but when you look really close, there's tiny gold specks but it's not very concentrate so you can't really tell that they're there. I definitely don't reach for this shade as much. I like feeling and colour on my lips with the two shades layered together.
